The guillotine door included with the Antoinette woodburning fireplace from Valcourt disappears for ease of use when loading the logs for your wood fire. The fire screen also uses a guillotine mechanism to allow you to close it while the ceramic glass door is open.

Your Antoinette woodburning fireplace is also environmentally friendly, as it qualifies for Phase II of the US EPA's voluntary woodburning program, a program that allows manufacturers to voluntarily produce fireplaces that burn more cleanly and reduce air pollution. Phase II of the program indicates that your Antoinette will emit at or below the target level of 4.2 g/kg, which is approximately 70% cleaner than models that do not qualify.
